Our story
We’re Hannah and Del Ager – the husband-and-wife team behind Ager Building Services Ltd. We’ve been married for 14 years and are proud parents to two amazing daughters, who are the heart of everything we do and the reason we work so hard to make our business a success.
When our two little ones arrived, Del chose to go part-time to spend more time at home with our girls. But once they started school, he was eager to take his passion for building to the next level. In 2018, he started out as a self-employed sole trader, and as the business grew, we made the exciting decision to form a Limited Company in 2022, allowing us to expand and take on more staff.
Meet Del Ager – The Driving Force Behind Ager Building Services
Del Ager is the backbone of our business, bringing over 20 years of experience in the building trade. With a wealth of knowledge in home improvements, he is passionate about delivering high-quality work that transforms homes.
Del holds a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 in Trowel Occupations and has built his career as a multi-skilled builder, working with a well-known rental and letting company and subcontracting as a bricklayer on major building sites.
Hannah Ager – The Heart of Our Operations
I’m Hannah Ager, the business administrator at Ager Building Services Ltd. I manage the day-to-day operations, handle marketing, and occasionally step in on-site when needed—all while keeping Del in check!
I recently joined the business full-time to support Del and bring a woman’s touch to a male-dominated industry. With a focus on customer service, organisation, and attention to detail, I help ensure every project runs smoothly and that our clients have the best possible experience from start to finish.

Growing Our Team & Supporting the Future of Construction
Our team has recently expanded, and we’re excited to welcome Tony, our highly skilled joiner. With over 20 years of experience—starting with his training in Hong Kong—his craftsmanship is second to none. A true perfectionist, he takes pride in delivering exceptional work on every project.
We’re also incredibly proud to be able to support women in construction. We believe women bring valuable knowledge and a fresh perspective to an industry traditionally dominated by men.
As part of our commitment to the next generation of trades, we’ve welcomed Jess, our apprentice, to the team. She’s hardworking, skilled, and a fantastic addition—we love having her on board!

Last but not least
Milo has been with us since he was a pup and is now a one-year-old bundle of chaos and charm. With his half-brown, half-white face, he’s hard to miss – and he’s already something of a local celebrity at the building merchants.
He rides shotgun with Del every day, keeping morale high and making friends wherever he goes. Milo might not be great at plastering or joinery, but he’s an expert in snack detection, lunchtime supervision, and keeping the team smiling.
